RV travel is a great way to see Mexico at your pace. You will want to be attentive on more rural highways to ensure that you don’t have a close call. Having Mexican auto insurance is a top priority as you prepare for your travel. If you will tow a trailer or extra vehicle, you will need to add these items to your Mexican insurance policy options in order to comply with the terms of your policy. You will also want to plan appropriately for supplies and other needs.

Stocking Up or Shopping Locally?

Because you can carry goods for your trip in the RV, you may be tempted to do the majority of your shopping before you leave. However, you don’t need to be obsessive about fresh foods, especially if you are going to be in the country for an extended period of time. While very rural communities tend to have small shops, you can find the basics. You will want to pay attention to meats and dairy products as they may seem fresh enough at a market but spoil quickly at times. If you are going to be in or near a larger town or city, this will provide you with some excellent access to larger markets with wider selections. It won’t hurt to have some staples on hand for those times when you don’t like what you find in the smaller stores, but you don’t need to stress about good food being available.

Campgrounds and RV Parks

You should do a little research ahead of time if you aren’t sure about the availability of facilities and camping locations. While some are remote, you may also find some convenient spots in larger communities. It is important to be aware of campground policies as you arrive. It is likely that you will need to pay in cash at more remote locations, and you will consider the implications of driving away from your reserved spot for sightseeing or supply runs.

Keep Your Travel Legal with Mexican Auto Insurance

You are expected to carry appropriate Mexican insurance policy options on any foreign-plated vehicles you will operate while in the country. This includes a towed car having its own Mexican auto insurance. Unlike your home policy, Mexican insurance policy options only cover one vehicle.

Mexican auto insurance from MexicanInsuranceStore.com comes with FREE roadside assistance throughout Mexico.
