Are There Alternatives to Mexico Car Insurance?
For one reason or another, you may not want to buy Mexico car insurance. Like some people, you may be looking for alternatives to traditional Mexican car insurance from Mexican Insurance Store. To avoid wasting a second of your time, here’s the truth: You cannot go without Mexican insurance online. There are no real alternatives to Mexico car insurance. If you go down to Mexico and drive a vehicle without a valid policy, you could easily end up in jail. There’s no way around it, you always have to carry valid Mexican car insurance with you when you’re driving south of the border.
Begging and Pleading
Some people figure that they’ll plead ignorance if they are unlucky enough to be involved in an accident without Mexican insurance online. They figure that the cops will take mercy on them and won’t take them to jail. That’s definitely not the case. The cops won’t have a choice if you’re unable to give them a Mexico car insurance policy. They have to follow procedures, and there’s no option other than taking you away to jail until their investigation is complete.
Exercising Caution
Another option you may be considering is to be exceptionally careful while you’re driving around Mexico. As long as you’re careful, you shouldn’t have to worry about being involved in an accident. This logic is flawed in one very big way: You can’t guarantee that other drivers will be careful too. Another driver could blow through a stop sign and crash into you; then what? You should exercise caution whether you have Mexican car insurance or not, but you shouldn’t assume that doing so makes it okay to go without it.
Carrying Cash
Technically, the law in Mexico states that every driver must be able to make good on his financial obligations in the event of an accident. As a result, some people assume that Mexican insurance online isn’t technically necessary. They figure that they can get by with carrying a lot of cash instead. That’s a really bad move for a number of reasons. Most seriously, you run the risk of being held up and robbed if you have a lot of cash in person instead of Mexico car insurance during your travels. Another problem is that the cops may not care and will probably still take you to jail. There’s no way around it: You have to have valid Mexican car insurance at all times.
