Although you may have the policy to cover your motor vehicle at home, this becomes useless if you have an incident in Mexico. When you cross the border, they expect you to be financially responsible for damages that you may cause. Checking a Mexican insurance guide is crucial because Mexican authorities recognize it as valid. Appropriate valid Mexico auto insurance is required of all motorists by law. Domestic carrier limitations
Those who research valid Mexico auto insurance may find that their domestic carriers refer them to other companies to find information and coverage. Once you cross the border, your domestic policy won’t help with emergencies or accidents. Damages that you suffer because of theft or vandalism can also leave you facing severe expenses. This is especially true if you have no assistance in covering those costs. Checking a Mexican insurance guide ensures that they cover you appropriately based on the type of policy selected.
Just as you get what you pay for at home, shortchanging yourself by not reviewing a Mexican insurance guide can leave you struggling to recover from the costs of an accident. Liability Valid Mexico auto insurance liability protection is the minimum you need to satisfy the law. However, comprehensive coverage is advisable for those whose vehicles meet the value test of at least $3,000. Liability-only coverage won’t help your lien holder if your car is still being paid for. You can expand your policy to include partial theft and vandalism. Some of the most common vehicle-related incidents occur south of the border. Road trip information: Reading a Mexican insurance guide before buying coverage is crucial, so make sure to purchase valid Mexico auto insurance online to save time and money.
A quality Mexican insurance guide tells you the difference between a domestic car insurance policy and valid Mexico auto insurance.
Your home car insurance coverage may include all vehicles in your household. However, any valid Mexico auto insurance applies only to one vehicle. You can have as many legal drivers as you want, but you need to be sure that they have valid licenses and are at least 21 years old. Also, be sure that you select adequate dates to ensure that your policy doesn’t lapse during your time in the country. You can purchase your coverage for as little as one day or for as long as one year.

Why do you need to get Mexican auto insurance? Because only policies that come from Mexican insurance provider are recognized in Mexico. It means neither Canadian nor American coverage is acceptable in Mexico.
No matter what your US insurer tells you, the policy it gives is not the proof of financial responsibility. It simply means you must get and use only a legitimate Mexican auto insurance policy in Mexico. It’s a law the government legally implements.
Driving with Mexican insurance is a way more peaceful in driving. While it is legal to communicate through a mobile phone while driving, it is safest when you use a hands-free device.
