If You’re a Canadian, Read This before Going to Mexico

Thousands of Canadians go to Mexico for vacation every year. If you’d like to be one of them, there are a few things that you should know. Most notably, you can’t drive legally or safely in Mexico without Mexican auto insurance for Canadian drivers. If you are in an accident down there and don’t have Mexican insurance for Canada residents from Mexican Insurance Store, you could end up in jail. Learn more about Mexican auto insurance for Canadian drivers below.

Understanding the Law in Mexico

People are often flabbergasted to learn that jail is a possibility for driving without Mexico car insurance for Canadian travelers. As extreme as it may sound, it is a definite possibility. The law in Mexico requires all drivers to have a way to pay for their obligations in the event of an accident. The cops need to be reassured that you will be able to pay for any damages or injuries that you have caused. The simplest and best way to show them that is by giving them proof of Mexican insurance by Mexican Insurance Store.com for Canada residents.

When to Buy Mexican auto insurance for Canadian drivers

It may seem logical to simply buy Mexican auto insurance for Canadian drivers at the U.S.-Mexico border, but you’re sure to be ripped off by doing that. The shacks at the border have no problem with charging insanely high fees to travelers and unrated policies. You won’t be able to change your mind at that point; you will have to buy whatever is available. Just go on the Internet while you’re still in Canada to get Mexico car insurance for Canadian travelers. You’ll save money, and you’ll be able to avoid the hassle that is sure to await you at the border.

No Coverage is Not an Option

Above everything else, don’t even think about going to Mexico without the right insurance. You simply can’t predict whether or not you will end up in a car wreck. As careful as you may be, another driver could come along and ruin all of your plans. Accidents are no fun, and they are even worse when jail and huge bills are thrown into the mix. Be smart and buy coverage before you go.

As a Canadian I agree how authorities at the Mexican border might be unhelpful in getting you the proper travelling insurance so it’s better to get one before travelling to Mexico.
