Driving south of the border in Mexico has insurance and traffic requirements which are different from the usual expectations drivers from the USA have when driving as a part of vacation travel. Drivers inexperienced in dealing with Mexican laws and insurance rules should familiarize themselves with the requirements of driving in Mexico.

Before travelers leave for their trip to Mexico and become embroiled in the legalities of a system which is unfamiliar to them and could involve them in unexpected liability, persons wishing to drive in Mexico must buy Mexican Insurance from Mexican Insurance Store. While showing proof of insurance is adequate in some venues, insurance through a Mexican Auto Insurance Company is an essential purchase. In order to drive legally in Mexico, a driver must obtain Mexico Insurance or “proof of financial responsible responsibility” issued by a Mexican Insurer.

Such insurance coverage is readily available over the Internet by searching your Internet Browser for contact information on reliable companies in the business of legally providing Mexican Insurance in Mexico.

Such insurance coverage is readily available over the Internet by searching your Internet Browser for contact information on reliable companies in the business of legally providing Mexican Insurance in Mexico. The websites featuring Mexican insurance products also offer understandable information about Mexican travel, driving and customs. They also offer information about various driving routes within Mexico.

The specific laws of Mexico require insurance coverage for all drivers in the event of an accident, even for the drivers who are not at fault. Being able to immediately show coverage by a Mexican Insurance company will smooth interaction with the Mexican authorities.

Proper insurance through a Mexican underwriter and company can reduce financial consequences after the accident and can also forestall any possible jail time in the event that that issue arises as you are required to pay compensation to the injured party in full for any at fault car accident before you will be allowed to leave the Republic of Mexico.

Coverage may be purchased as either liability coverage, covering damages and injuries to the other party in the event that you are deemed liable, or full coverage, which would cover you, your passenger(s), and physical damage or total theft to your car in addition to providing liability coverage to the other party. When traveling south of the border and intending to drive yourself, it is imperative that you secure insurance through a Mexican insurance company.

Even though you are fully covered in the USA the territory of Mexico is excluded on all US and Canadian Car insurance policies, and Mexican law requires that you have valid Mexican-issued coverage or can demonstrate that you can pay damages some other way instantly. Your trip will proceed more smoothly in the event that the unexpected occurs!

Mexican insurance is a way of receiving protection if an unexpected accident happens. This is what happened to me last year. I was surprised how I easily it is to get along with the authorities in Mexico.

You can’t rely on U.S. or Canadian car insurance if you are in Mexico. Buy Mexican car insurance so you don’t get in trouble down there!
