Don’t Cancel Your Mexican Vacation Plans – Safe Travel is Possible With Quality Mexican Insurance!

Señor Mex says: I’m always disappointed when I hear about people who have canceled their plans to travel to Mexico due to safety concerns. The truth of the matter is that there’s some risk involved in just about any kind of international travel. Before crossing Mexico off your list, you should check official sources to find out what’s really going on.

Oftentimes Only a Small Part of Mexico Is Problematic

In most cases, you’ll find that there’s nothing that serious happening. Besides, it’s not like the entire country is in a huge danger zone. As this point notes, places like Mexico City are still very reasonable options for tourists. The vast majority of the trouble is concentrated in border areas, so just make a point of driving straight through them. Don’t forget to buy quality Mexican insurance because you’ll definitely need it! Mexican Insurance protects you from being detained in an at-fault auto accident. You need it if you want to have peace of mind during your Mexican vacation.

Fodor’s Travel Intelligence Post

“About 6 years ago I traveled throughout Mexico and really liked the colonial towns of Guanajuato, Zacatecas and Campeche. Oaxaca, Queretaro, Merida, Morelia and San Miguel de Allende were also pleasant for me…but not ‘must-sees’ like Guanajuato, Zacatecas and Campeche. Anyway, I don’t know what to think about Mexico City & Guadalajara.

I only passed through. I know they have colonial areas, but I also know they are Mexico’s biggest cities. So, overall, I don’t know whether they are among the country’s most attractive destinations or whether they are unattractive cities but with perhaps a small area with nice old colonial feel. What do you think? Also, how safe are these 2 cities to travel in nowadays? I am not Mexican and I’d simply want to walk around and see the sites.”

  • Mexico is so huge. Issuing a travel advisory on one city or two doesn’t warrant you to cancel visiting other cities and States. Travel advisories are usually temporary and local.
